Future Continuous
Di akhir lesson ini, kamu bisa:
- Membentuk Future Continuous dengan will be + kata kerja -ing.
- Menggambarkan aksi yang akan sedang berlangsung pada momen tertentu di masa depan.
- Menggunakan Future Continuous untuk pertanyaan sopan tentang rencana orang lain.
Bentuk (Form)
Future Continuous dibentuk dengan will be + kata kerja -ing. Bentuk will be sama untuk semua subjek, lalu tambahkan kata kerja bentuk -ing.

Catatan penting:
- Short form: I'll be, you'll be, he'll be ... → "I'll be waiting."
- Aturan ejaan -ing: make → making, run → running, lie → lying.
- Kata kerja state (know, like, want, believe) jarang dipakai di bentuk continuous: ❌ will be knowing → ✅ will know.
Kapan Dipakai (Usage)
- Aksi yang akan sedang berlangsung pada momen tertentu di masa depan (sudah dimulai
dan belum selesai di titik itu):
At 8 p.m. tonight, I 'll be watching the match.
- Dua aksi paralel: satu sedang berlangsung, satu menyela:
While you 're cooking, I 'll be setting the table.
- Pertanyaan sopan tentang rencana orang lain (terdengar lebih halus daripada will):
Will you be using the meeting room this afternoon?
- Rencana yang sudah pasti / rutin sebagai hasil dari jadwal:
Don't call at 6: I 'll be driving home then.
💡 Bedakan dengan Future Simple: "I'll call him at 5." (aksi dimulai jam 5) vs "I'll be calling clients at 5." (jam 5 saya di tengah-tengah menelepon).
Penanda Waktu (Time Markers / Signal Words)
- this time tomorrow → This time tomorrow I'll be sitting on a beach.
- at + jam + tomorrow/tonight → At 5 pm tomorrow we'll be finishing up.
- all day / all morning → He'll be travelling all day.
- in an hour / in two hours → In an hour they'll be boarding.
- while → While you rest, I'll be packing.
- still (untuk aksi yang masih berlanjut) → At noon she'll still be working.
Examples (English)
Don't call me at 9: I 'll be presenting to the board then. This time next week, we 'll be relaxing in Bali. Will you be working from home tomorrow? They won't be using the conference room, so it's free.

Kesalahan Umum (Common Mistakes)
- ❌ "I will working at 9." → ✅ "I will be working at 9." (jangan lupa be)
- ❌ "She will be use the room." → ✅ "She will be using the room." (kata kerja harus -ing)
- ❌ "At 5 pm tomorrow I will know the answer." → ✅ tetap "I will know" (verba state tidak dipakai continuous)
- ❌ "Will you using the car?" → ✅ "Will you be using the car?" (perlu be dalam pertanyaan)
