Opening & Leading a Meeting
1. Membuka rapat. Setelah semua orang hadir, mulai dengan ajakan sopan:
- Right, shall we get started?
- OK everyone, let's get started.
- Thanks for coming, everyone.
2. Menyatakan tujuan & agenda. Jelaskan kenapa rapat diadakan, lalu sebutkan poin-poin yang akan dibahas.
| Fungsi | Frasa baku |
|---|---|
| Tujuan | The purpose of today's meeting is to + (kata kerja) |
| Agenda | There are three items on the agenda. |
| Urutan | First, we'll... Then, we'll... Finally, we'll... |
Tip: Setelah The purpose of... is to, selalu pakai kata kerja dasar (bentuk infinitive): ...is to discuss the budget, bukan ...is to discussing.
3. Berpindah antar topik. Saat satu poin selesai, gunakan:
- OK, let's move on to the next point.
- Let's move on to item two.
- Shall we move on?
4. Mengajak kontribusi. Pemimpin yang baik mengundang peserta untuk bicara:
- What do you think, Budi?
- Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
- I'd like to hear from everyone on this.
Examples (English)
"Thanks for coming, everyone. Let's get started. The purpose of today's meeting is to finalise the marketing plan."
"There are three items on the agenda. First, the budget. Then, the timeline. And finally, the team roles."
"OK, I think we've covered the budget. Let's move on to the next point. Rina, what do you think about the timeline?"
