High-stakes Negotiation
Penjelasan (ID)
Negosiasi tingkat lanjut jarang hanya soal satu angka.
Tiga keterampilan inti:
- Framing: menyajikan posisi agar terdengar masuk akal dan adil. Bandingkan "We're cutting your margin" dengan "We're investing in a long-term partnership."
| Fungsi | Pola | Nuansa |
|---|---|---|
| Menukar isu | "If you were to extend the term, we'd be prepared to revisit the price." | hipotetis, tidak mengikat |
| Berterus terang | "Let me be candid with you: that figure simply won't work." | jujur tapi tetap hormat |
| Menekankan prioritas | "What matters most to us is certainty, not the headline number." | cleft sentence, fokus |
| Menguji kebuntuan | "Where does that leave us?" | mengundang lawan ikut berpikir |
Tip register: Gunakan would/were to/could untuk membuat tawaran terasa hipotetis dan dapat ditarik, bukan komitmen final. Ini memberi ruang manuver sekaligus menjaga muka kedua pihak.
Saat menemui sticking point, jangan langsung memberi ground. Ubah arah ke isu lain dulu ("Let's park price for a moment and look at scope"), lalu kembali dengan paket utuh.
Examples (English)
"Let me be candid with you: at that price, the numbers simply don't add up for us."
"If you were to commit to a two-year term, we'd be prepared to absorb the setup costs."
"What matters most to us isn't the discount: it's the certainty of supply over the next 18 months."
"We've moved on volume and on timing. Where does that leave us on the exclusivity clause?"

Dialogue
Closing a multi-issue supply deal
We've reviewed your terms. Honestly, the price you're asking is below where we can comfortably sit.
Let me be candid with you, Priya. The headline price isn't actually our main concern: certainty of supply is.
Go on. What would give you that certainty?
A guaranteed twelve-week lead time. If you could commit to that, we'd be prepared to move up on price.
The lead time is the real sticking point: our capacity is tight. But there may be room if the order volume rises.
Then let's trade. We'll raise volume by fifteen percent and lift the price two points, in exchange for a firm twelve-week guarantee. Where does that leave us?
That moves the needle. Let me confirm capacity with operations, but in principle, I think we have a deal.
