Updating Status & Progress
Di akhir lesson ini, kamu bisa:
- Menyatakan apakah proyek 'on track' atau 'behind schedule'.
- Memberi label status tugas: in progress, completed, on hold, blocked.
1. Posisi keseluruhan terhadap jadwal:
| Frasa | Arti | Nada |
|---|---|---|
| We're on track. | Sesuai jadwal. | Positif |
| We're slightly behind schedule. | Sedikit terlambat. | Hati-hati |
| We're ahead of schedule. | Lebih cepat dari jadwal. | Sangat positif |
| We're running a bit late on testing. | Agak telat di bagian testing. | Netral-jujur |
Gunakan adverb pelembut: slightly, a bit, roughly, more or less. Misalnya "slightly behind" terdengar lebih tenang daripada langsung "behind".
2. Status per-tugas: empat label penting:
- in progress → sedang dikerjakan: The report is in progress.
- completed / done → selesai: Phase 1 has been completed.
- on hold → sengaja ditunda: That feature is on hold until budget is approved.
- blocked → terhambat karena sesuatu di luar kendali: I'm blocked by the missing login.
Beda penting: on hold = kita memilih menunda. blocked = kita tidak bisa lanjut karena ada penghalang. Sebutkan penyebabnya: blocked by the API issue.
3. Pola update status singkat (urutan ideal):
- Posisi umum → We're on track overall.
- Yang selesai → Design is completed.
- Yang berjalan → Development is in progress.
- Masalah → Testing is blocked by a server issue.
- Langkah berikut → Next, we'll wrap up the API.
Examples (English)
"Quick update: we're on track overall. The design has been completed, and development is in progress." "We're slightly behind schedule on testing because the test server was down." "The reporting feature is on hold until we get budget approval." "I'm currently blocked by a missing access key: could someone from IT help?"
