Describing Visuals
Di akhir lesson ini, kamu bisa:
- Mengarahkan perhatian ke slide, grafik, atau tabel.
- Menggunakan kata tren: increase, decrease, rise, fall, remain stable.
- Menjelaskan naik-turun angka dengan jelas dan natural.
Penjelasan (ID)
Saat presentasi memakai slide, grafik, atau tabel, kamu perlu mengarahkan mata hadirin ke visual dan menjelaskan apa yang ditunjukkannya.
1. Mengarahkan perhatian ke visual:
As you can see in this chart, sales went up in the second half of the year. This slide shows our profit for each quarter.
2. Kata tren (naik / turun / stabil):

| Turun | decrease / fall / go down | Costs fell last month. |
| Stabil | remain stable / stay the same | Prices remained stable. |
Catatan bentuk kata kerja tak beraturan: rise → rose → risen, fall → fell → fallen. Contoh lampau: "Profit rose in May. Demand fell in July."
3. Menyebut besarnya perubahan:
Sales increased by 20% (naik 20%). There was a sharp rise in costs (kenaikan tajam). Profit went up slightly (sedikit).
Kata bantu untuk besar/kecil perubahan: sharply (tajam), slightly (sedikit), gradually (perlahan).
Tip: Gunakan by untuk menyebut jumlah perubahan: "Sales rose by 10%." Tanpa by, sebut nilai akhir: "Sales rose to 10,000 units."
