Quantifiers: some / any / much / many
Di akhir lesson ini, kamu bisa:
- Memakai some di kalimat positif dan any di kalimat negatif/tanya.
- Memilih much untuk uncountable dan many untuk countable.
- Membedakan a few (countable) dan a little (uncountable).
Bentuk & Aturan
Quantifier adalah kata yang menyebut jumlah/banyaknya benda. Pilihannya tergantung dua hal: jenis kalimat (positif / negatif / tanya) dan jenis noun (countable / uncountable).
some vs any
| Pemakaian | Contoh | |
|---|---|---|
| (+) Positif | some | I have some questions. |
| (−) Negatif | any | I don't have any questions. |
| (?) Tanya | any | Do you have any questions? |
| Tawaran / permintaan | some | Would you like some coffee? Can I have some water? |
Catatan: dalam tawaran dan permintaan sopan, kita tetap pakai some, bukan any (Would you like some tea?).
much vs many vs a lot of
| Quantifier | Dipakai dengan | Contoh |
|---|---|---|
| much | uncountable (sering di negatif/tanya) | We don't have much time. How much money? |
| many | countable plural | How many people came? There aren't many seats. |
| a lot of / lots of | keduanya (sering di positif) | There's a lot of work. We have lots of clients. |
a few vs a little

|---|---|---|---|
| a few | countable plural | sedikit (tapi ada beberapa) | I have a few ideas. |
| a little | uncountable | sedikit (tapi cukup) | We have a little time. |
Kapan Dipakai
- some untuk jumlah tak pasti di kalimat positif dan untuk menawarkan/meminta.

Don't worry, we still have a little time.
