Aligning Teams

Strategi yang hebat gagal jika tim tidak selaras. Tugas pemimpin adalah memastikan semua orang memahami hal yang sama, mendukung rencana itu, dan tahu apa artinya bagi tim mereka. Tiga keterampilan bahasa di sini:
1. Menyamakan pemahaman (getting aligned)
Sebelum eksekusi, pastikan tidak ada interpretasi yang berbeda:

- I don't just need a sign-off; I need real buy-in.
- I want to bring everyone with me on this.
- Can I count on you to be on board with this direction?
- What would it take to get you fully behind this?
💡 Buy-in tumbuh ketika orang merasa didengar. Tanyakan keberatan lebih dulu: "Before we lock this in, what reservations do you have?": ini terdengar percaya diri, bukan ragu.
3. Menurunkan tujuan (cascading goals)
Tujuan strategis harus diterjemahkan ke level tim agar terasa konkret:
- At the company level this is the target; what this means for your team is...
- Let me show you how this cascades down to your objectives.
- This strategy translates into three priorities for ops.
Tujuan akhirnya: break down silos sehingga setiap tim melihat perannya dalam satu arah bersama.

"Before we brief the wider organisation, let's make sure we're all aligned. I'd rather over-communicate now than fix confusion later."
"I don't just want a polite nod: I want genuine buy-in. So tell me honestly: what reservations do you still have?"
"At the company level, the goal is 20% growth. What this means for your team is two new enterprise accounts a quarter: that's how it cascades down."
